A Parent’s Guide To The Best Kids Comics

A Parent’s Guide To The Best Kids’ Comics, by Scott Robins and Snow Wildsmith, has just arrived in bookstores and I’m happy to say that Kid Beowulf is featured in the book!

The guide is a compendium of graphic novel reviews and covers books for all ages, reading levels, and interests. It’s a great starter book for parents, teachers, or librarians who are looking for books that will engage and excite readers of all ages. Just some of the books highlighted include: Bone, Amelia Rules, Amulet, Mouse Guard, and The Crogan Adventures…pretty much everything on my bookshelf!

Here’s what they had to say about Kid Beowulf:

“Fajardo combines ancient epic poetry with modern anachronisms to create a part-fantasy, part-history romp that will appeal to readers who like adventure…These broadly adapted retellings add a lot of fun and fighting to the bones of classic tales.”

Produced by Krause Publications, the book is available everywhere and worth picking up if you’ve ever wanted to know how to build a great library of all-ages comics and graphic novels! A Parent’s Guide To The Best Kids’ Comics is © 2012 F+W Media Inc. and excerpted with permission.

  1. Congratulations on such a great review! As a parent, I find guides like these very helpful, particularly for a genre I know so little about. KUDOS!
