Kid Beowulf and the Shrimp Gumbo

I’m excited to report that next week I’ll be heading to New Orleans for the American Library Association Annual Conference. I’ll be part of their graphic novel pavilion and featured in the new Artist’s Alley along with some other great cartoonists. There is comic-related programming throughout the four day event; you can view that here along with a list of other cartoonists attending the show. I’ll have the traditional Kid B. spread at my table: books, sculpts, trailers as well as some librarian-specific giveaways so if you’re going to the show be sure to stop on by.
Featured guests were also asked to create a piece of original art to be auctioned off for the ALA Scholarship fund, mine is below: a scene not shown in Kid Beowulf and the Song of Roland, this is the moment when Beowulf and Grendel become honorary Peers! (click to enlarge)
